Golden, flaky crescent rolls filled with gooey melted cheese and a touch of herbs, perfect as an appetizer or snack.

This recipe quickly became a favorite at my gatherings because of its simple ingredients and delicious flavor.

Ingredients

  • Dough: 1 can (8 oz / 226 g) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • Cheese Filling: 120 g (4 oz) mozzarella cheese, cut into 8 cubes, 40 g (1.5 oz) sharp cheddar cheese, cut into 8 cubes, 1 tbsp fresh chives or parsley, finely chopped (optional), 1/2 tsp dried Italian herbs
  • Topping: 1 tbsp unsalted butter, melted, 1/4 tsp garlic powder, 1 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

Preheat Oven:
Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F) Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare Dough:
Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate into 8 triangles.
Add Filling:
Place one cube of mozzarella and one cube of cheddar at the wide end of each triangle Sprinkle with Italian herbs and chopped chives or parsley if using.
Roll:
Roll up each triangle starting at the wide end and tuck the ends to seal the cheese inside.
Arrange:
Arrange the rolls on the prepared baking sheet seam side down.
Apply Topping:
Mix the melted butter and garlic powder Brush the tops of the rolls with the mixture.
Add Parmesan:
Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
Bake:
Bake for 13–15 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
Cool:
Let cool 2–3 minutes before serving.
