# How-To Steps:

01 - Set the oven to 350°F to prepare for baking.
02 - Melt the butter in a large ovenproof skillet over medium heat, then add brown sugar and maple syrup. Stir until the sugar dissolves and mixture bubbles, approximately 2 minutes.
03 - Add the sliced pears to the skillet, sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg, and gently toss to coat. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 to 7 minutes until pears soften and start to caramelize.
04 - Stir in the walnut halves and vanilla extract gently to combine all ingredients.
05 - Transfer the skillet or pour the mixture into a baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 18 to 20 minutes until pears are tender and walnuts toasted.
06 - Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly. Serve warm, optionally topped with Greek yogurt or vanilla ice cream.
